Installing an app from ROBOS

It takes about two minutes the first time, and the steps are the same on Samsung, Xiaomi, Realme, Oppo, Vivo, Walton and other Android phones. The words on your screen may be a little different.

  1. Open the app's page on your phone

    Use Chrome (or your usual browser) on the Android phone or tablet itself, not on a computer. Go to the app's page and tap Download.

    ফোন বা ট্যাবলেটে অ্যাপের পেজ খুলে “Download” চাপুন।

  2. Keep the file

    Chrome may say "This type of file can harm your device." It shows this for every APK. Tap Download anyway.

    “Download anyway” চাপুন — সব APK ফাইলের জন্যই এই সতর্কবার্তা আসে।

  3. Open the downloaded file

    When the download finishes, tap Open on the message at the bottom of the screen. You can also find the file in Files → Downloads.

    ডাউনলোড শেষ হলে “Open” চাপুন, অথবা Files → Downloads থেকে ফাইলটি খুলুন।

  4. Allow your browser to install apps (once)

    Android will say your browser isn't allowed to install apps. Tap Settings, turn on Allow from this source, then go back. You only need to do this once.

    “Settings” চাপুন, “Allow from this source” চালু করুন, তারপর ফিরে আসুন। এটা একবারই করতে হয়।

  5. Tap Install

    If Google Play Protect shows a pop-up saying it doesn't recognise the developer, tap More details → Install anyway. It shows this pop-up for every app that isn't on the Play Store.

    Play Protect সতর্কবার্তা দেখালে “More details” → “Install anyway” চাপুন।

  6. Open the app 🎉

    Done! Paid apps start with their free trial. Some need the internet once to start it.

    হয়ে গেছে! প্রথমবার অ্যাপ খুললে ফ্রি ট্রায়াল শুরু হবে।
⚠️"App not installed" or "not compatible"? Your phone may be an older 32-bit model, so go back and download the Older phones (32-bit) version. If you're installing an update, make sure the old version came from ROBOS too.

Updating an app

Download the new version from the same page and install it the same way. Android installs it over the old one and keeps your data.

Don't uninstall first. Uninstalling deletes everything the app saved on the phone, like pictures, recordings and settings.
